The Storm will look to bounce back after a week 14 loss to the Cleveland Gladiators. While the Gladiators were up by 21 points in the 4th, the Storm made a furious comeback, scoring 13 unanswered points in the final minutes of the game. While the team came up short, losing by two, it did make strides in preparing for its ultimate goal.
The night also saw offensive player of the year candidate, Joe Hills, extend his consecutive games played with a receiving touchdown to 78, tying Damian Harrell’s mark that was set in 2007. Fans watching this week will be able to witness history as Hills looks to extend his streak to 79 games, breaking a long-standing record, cementing himself in Arena Football League history.
For the Storm offense to be successful, it will need to keep a clean pocket for quarterback Randy Hippeard, who found five different receivers last time out. His top receiver on the night was Hills, who caught nine passes for 62 yards and three touchdowns. The Storm offensive line will need to be on point, as the Brigade defense is led by lineman Khreem Smith, who is second in the League with a team-leading eight sacks on the season.
The Brigade enters the game coming of an impressive 49-42 win over the Philadelphia Soul to extending its winning streak to two games.
