Soul Winning Streak Snapped at 17 GamesLosing a game in July isn't the end of the world for any Arena Football League team. For the Philadelphia Soul, they were right on the doorstep of league history. Clint Dolezel's team won 17 games in a row, including ArenaBowl XXIX, and that fantastic run came to an end against the Baltimore Brigade in Week 14. The accomplishments Philadelphia amassed in that span are numerous and deserving of a tremendous amount of fanfare.
0 – The number of times the Soul were trailing in the final 30 seconds of any game on their 17-game winning streak. The closest Philadelphia came to losing was in Week 6 in 2017 when the Brigade held the ball with 0:33 left with a five-point lead, only to see Sean Daniels recover a Shane Carden fumble and race it the other way for the game-winning touchdown.
8 – The number of players who played in all 17 of the Philadelphia victories. Dan Raudabaugh quarterbacked each of the 17 straight wins, while Joe Goosby, Dwayne Hollis, Shaun Kauleinamoku, Justin Lawrence, Darius Reynolds, James Romain and Wayne Tribue didn't miss a game either.
8 – The number of consecutive regular season road victories the Soul amassed during their 17-game winning streak. That's not to speak of their three wins in Allentown during that run as well as their ArenaBowl in Glendale, Arizona. All told, Philadelphia won games in eight different arenas during its streak.
14 – The number of consecutive regular season games Philadelphia won, one shy of the all-time record held by the 2000-01 San Jose SaberCats, the 2007-08 Dallas Desperados and the 2013-14 Arizona Rattlers.
14 – The number of consecutive regular season victories Raudabaugh strung together as a starting quarterback. The only man with a longer streak in league history is Erik Meyer, who had 15 wins between his time with the Spokane Shock and San Jose in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
17 – The number of consecutive wins, regular season and playoffs, the Soul strung together before losing. The only team with more consecutive wins was the Arizona Rattlers squad of 2013-14, one which put 18 straight 'W's on the board, including the ArenaBowl XXVI title.
25:42 – The longest consecutive amount of time the Soul trailed in any given game during their 17-game winning streak. The Washington Valor led for the mass majority of the first half over Philly in Week 3, only to ultimately lose 49-31.
60.9 – The number of points per game the Soul averaged during their winning streak. They were held under 50 points just twice in the 17 games and put up at least 60 points eight times in that run, including 83 against Cleveland last year on July 9.
111 – The number of touchdown passes Raudabaugh threw during Philadelphia's 17-game winning streak. The Soul only conceded 115 total touchdowns during this stretch of games.
140:44 – The number representing the total amount of time the Soul trailed during their 17-game winning streak, an average of less than nine minutes per game. In comparison, they led for 721:10, an average of almost 43 minutes per game.
386 – The number of days the Soul went in between losses. Before being beaten on July 8, 2017, their last defeat came on June 17, 2016 at Arizona.
