AFL's Inside the Numbers: Week 14

July 8,2017
Raudabaugh Can Tie Streak for Most Consecutive Wins by a Starting QB

Raudabaugh in Rare Company – There are only five quarterbacks in the history of the AFL who have ever generated winning streaks of 13 consecutive starts or more. The list? Mark Grieb, Aaron Garcia, Jay Gruden, Erik Meyer and now, Dan Raudabaugh. The "Red Rocket" has won 14 straight starts he's made dating back to last season, one shy of the all-time record held by Meyer. In that span, Raudabaugh has tossed 91 touchdowns against just nine interceptions. Most importantly, the Soul have averaged 61.5 points per game in that run.

Most Consecutive Regular Season Wins by a Starting Quarterback
Erik Meyer (2014-15): 15
Dan Raudabaugh (2016-17): 14
Jay Gruden (1992-93): 14
Aaron Garcia (2011): 13
Mark Grieb (2001-02): 13

Benson One Score from 104 – Raudabaugh's 91 touchdowns on this 14-game Philadelphia win streak is only put into best perspective when you realize that his offense has also generated 21 rushing touchdowns in that span. Mykel Benson has visited the end zone 16 times this year as a runner, moving him up to 103 touchdowns for his career. Benson is tied with Hall of Famer, Andre Bowden for the third most rushing touchdowns ever, and he'll break that tie the first time he dances in the end zone in Week 14 against Baltimore.

Derrick Ross: 195
Barry Wagner: 127
Mykel Benson: 103

Soul Seeking Most Consecutive Wins in AFL History – The run the Philadelphia Soul have been on dating back to last season is officially on the verge of epic proportions. They have won 17 games in a row overall and 14 straight regular season games, and if they can beat the Baltimore Brigade this weekend, their streaks will tie all-time records in AFL history. The Soul also have a chance to become the fifth team in AFL history to start a season at 11-0 and could move within three games of the first perfect regular season the AFL has ever seen. Philadelphia is also two road wins shy from tying the all-time record for consecutive victories away from home. The Soul have captured eight consecutive road wins in the regular season, a mark only the 1988-90 Detroit Drive, 1999-00 Nashville Kats and 2014-15 San Jose SaberCats have reached.
