Rattlers Clinch National Conference Title

LAS VEGAS (July 12,2016) – The Arena Football League announced today that after this past weekend’s contests, the Arizona Rattlers have clinched the National Conference regular-season title and are guaranteed at least a No. 2 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament.
The Rattlers (11-3) are currently in the top spot of the National Conference and are also currently No. 2 in the Postseason Standings based on overall record. With two games left on their schedule, Arizona needs to defeat the current No. 1 seeded Orlando Predators on Monday, July 18 at 9:30 p.m. ET (WatchESPN) by 19 or more points to take the head-to-head tiebreaker advantage.
The Orlando Predators (12-2), currently the No. 1 seed, have already clinched a home postseason game and finish the season against Arizona and then face the Philadelphia Soul in the final week of the regular season at Amway Center in Orlando on Saturday, July 30.
The Soul (11-3) are currently one game behind Orlando in the American Conference, but won their previous meeting between the two. Philadelphia is currently the No. 3 seed based on overall record and play the Tampa Bay Storm on Saturday, July 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
The current No. 4 seed Cleveland Gladiators (7-7) play the No. 5 seed Los Angeles KISS (6-7) on Saturday, July 16 at 10 p.m. ET at Honda Center on CBS Sports Network. The Gladiators need to beat the KISS by 6 or more points to hold the tiebreaker advantage over Los Angeles.
The Jacksonville Sharks (5-8) are currently the No. 6 seed, while No. 7 seed Portland Steel holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over No. 8 Tampa Bay Storm.
