LAS VEGAS (June 30, 2016) - The Arena Football League boasts 263 players (active roster, injured reserve, and inactive reserve) from 173 universities and colleges across the United States. The athletes played at various levels of collegiate football from NJCAA all the way up to Division I-FBS.
The Big 12 Conference claims the most former football players across all conferences in Division I with 17. The Power Five Conferences of the FBS (ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12, and SEC) have produced 63 current AFL players. Cincinnati, Florida State, and Tennessee State have the most alums, with five each, playing in the AFL this season.

This week is a League-wide bye as the teams get ready for the last four weeks of the regular season. The road to ArenaBowl XXIX kicks back off on Saturday, July 9 with three games slated for that day. Philadelphia Soul (10-3) hosts the Cleveland Gladiators (7-6) at the PPL Center in Allenton, PA at 6 p.m. ET on WatchESPN.
The AFL returns to CBS Sports Network on Saturday, July 9, as the Jacksonville Sharks (5-7) head to Talking Stick Resort Arena to take on the Arizona Rattlers (9-3) at 9:30 p.m. ET. The last game on Saturday night, sees the Portland Steel (1-11) host the current No. 1 seed Orlando Predators (11-2) at 10 p.m. ET at the Moda Center on WatchESPN. Then on Monday, the Tampa Bay Storm (1-11) travel to the Honda Center to take on the LA KISS (5-7) at 10 p.m. ET on WatchESPN & Univision Deportes (tape-delayed).
