LAS VEGAS – The Cleveland Gladiators (1-5) will make their first-trip to the Baltimore Brigade (1-4) on  Saturday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Royal Farms Arena live on CBS Sports Network. After notching early season wins, both the Gladiators and Brigade are looking to turn the tide on their 2017 seasons’. During the week, the Gladiators traded WR Brandon Thompkins and QB Shane Boyd to Baltimore for future considerations. The addition of Thompkins gives Brigade rookie quarterback Shane Carden another option as Julian Talley and Paul Browning try to fill the void vacated by injured receiver Reggie Gray. The Gladiators suffered many injuries to begin the 2017 campaign and one bright spot has been the play of quarterback Arvell Nelson. Nelson leads the league’s number one ranked offense into Baltimore.

The Washington Valor (1-4) will play host to the streaking Philadelphia Soul (6-0) on  Saturday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET at Verizon Center streaming live on ArenaFootball.com. The Soul won the first matchup of the season between the two teams, 49-31, back on April 22. Dating back to last season the Soul have won 12 consecutive games including ArenaBowl XXIX. The Valor find themselves on a streak of their own losing their last four games after opening the season with a victory. Turning towards the Verizon Center crowd for some “home cooking”, the Valor have lost their last two contests by an average of seven points and will look to receivers Greg Carr and T.T. Toliver to supply the scoring. Last week, Toliver surpassed the 2,000-point mark for his AFL career with a touchdown over the Tampa Bay Storm.
