Storm Survives In Baltimore, Defeats Brigade 62-55

Baltimore, MD – The Tampa Bay Storm (3-1) defeated the Baltimore Brigade (1-3) by a score of 62-55 in front of 5,915 fans at Royal Farms Arena.  This was the first meeting in series history between these two franchises.  Storm receiver LaMark Brown caught the game-winning score with 5.0 seconds left in regulation.  The Storm has started the season with a record of 3-1, its best record since the 2014 season.

The Storm was led by quarterback Randy Hippeard.  He finished the night completing 31-of-40 passes for 285 yards and eight touchdowns.  His top target was Joe Hills who caught 13 passes for 126 yards and four touchdowns.  He now has a touchdown reception in 72 consecutive regular season games.

Defensive back Paul Stephens made his Storm debut with a pair of fumble recoveries.  He would return one for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Stephens finished the night with 7.0 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown.

The Brigade was led by quarterback Shane Carden who finished the night having completed 23-of-35 passes for 357 yards and six touchdowns.

Tampa Bay will head to Washington, D.C. to take on the Valor, Saturday, May 13th.  The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.  Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET
