CLEVELAND - The
Cleveland Gladiators of the
Arena Football League, presented by Unique Home Solutions, were assigned
OL David Griffin Jr., the team announced Thursday.
Griffin Jr., 25, enters his first season in the AFL and with the Gladiators as a rookie.
The 6’6”, 320 lb. offensive lineman spent the past two seasons in the Indoor Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers and before that briefly spent time in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos.
A Tallahassee, Fla. native, Griffin Jr. played collegiately at the University of Hawaii where he appeared in five games in 2013. Prior to transferring to Hawaii, Griffin earned first-team all-conference honors by the Western State Football and the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference while playing at Mesa Community College.
